Who We Are
Aging and Disability Services (ADS) is a division within the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. Our division brings together staff, programs, and expertise from across the former Iowa Department on Aging and legacy HHS teams to build a stronger, more connected system of support for older Iowans and Iowans with disabilities.
What We Do
We’re focused on ensuring people can live with independence, dignity, and choice—no matter their age or ability. ADS includes three bureaus that work closely together:
• Aging Services
• Community Integration
• Preventative & Protective Services
Together, these teams support a shared vision: helping Iowans thrive in their homes and communities
